Libraries:-
You
can spend hours in a public library, reading or writing, and no
one dare disturb you! Many libraries also have Internet facilities at quite
reasonable rates.
Unfortunately,
we don’t have state of the art libraries in the Bahamas as in
other parts of the world.
One
of our public libraries is situated on Mackey Street, Nassau, up
the street from Paradise Island’s exit bridge.
The librarians are helpful and there’s a good selection
of fiction and non-fiction. The
library also brings in the latest bestsellers along with local and
international newspapers, but the interior is cramped, with no
room for expansion.
